Sanrio Happy Bag 2021! I opened a 2,000 yen Happy Bag!
The season of Happy Bags has arrived again this year. Until last year, I used to stand in line at the store to buy one. This year, however, due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, an advance reservation system has been introduced for the first time. In this article, I would like to reveal how to make a reservation and what’s inside the 2,000 yen Happy Bag.

How to Reserve a Happy Bag
The Happy Bag that went on sale in January 2021 had to be reserved in advance. It’s Sanrio’s way of being kind, wanting us to come back to pick up our Happy Bags after the first sale to avoid denseness and peace of mind! If at all possible, I hope that even after the new coronavirus has settled down, Happy Bags will still be available by reservation.
- Reservation period: December 18, 2020 – December 30, 2020 (limited quantity, so it will end as soon as the limit is reached)
- Reservation conditions: Limit one reservation per person for each item / No reservations by phone / Payment upon reservation
To make a reservation, do so at a store. You can make a reservation from the opening time of each store. I went about two hours after the store opened, and reservations were still available!
The Happy Bag lineup is “2,000 yen”, “3,000 yen”, and “5,000 yen”. You can choose each item and character.

This time I chose My Melody for “2,000 yen”, Hello Kitty for “3,000 yen”, and Cinnamoroll for “5,000 yen”.
Open the “2,000 yen Happy Bag”
I would like to open the 2,000 yen Happy Bag. The character I chose this time is “My Melody”.
The contents of the Happy Bag are contained in a tote bag. The tote bag has a zipper at its mouth, making it convenient to carry around.
This time, those characters are babies! So cute! There are a few goods in the Baby series, but I’ve never seen Baby x Angel.
ナカジマコーポレーション サンリオキャラクターズ エンジェル マイメロディ S
My daughter loves My Melody, so She has this Angel My Melody.
The contents of the bags were mostly stationery items; in 2020, there were stationery goods such as the “Nakayoshi Kindergarten” series.
Plush toys in the “2,000 yen Happy Bag”
This is the feature product of the Happy Bag, the “My Melody stuffed cow”.
The diameter is about 10 cm, and it’s fluffy to the touch. At first glance, it doesn’t look like a cow, even with its pink dots. It looks like it is wearing polka-dot clothes.
The stuffed toy has a ball chain attached to its head, so you can carry it around with you on your bag.
Stationery in the “2,000 yen Happy Bag”
I bought a My Melody Happy Bag, but I didn’t expect to find any My Melody stationery (lol). People who bought it because they wanted lots of My Melody might have been a little disappointed.
From left to right, “Pochacco 5-design handy memo”, “Kikilala metallic ink pen 5p”, “Kikilala clip and band set”, “Gudetama W clip 5p”, “Kitty wide deco rush”, “Keroppi toolbox”, “Kitty masking roll stickers”.
I was disappointed that my favorite Cinnamoroll goods was not included. However, I am very happy that there are many stationery items that are easy to utilize.
When a Happy Bag contains a number of characters that I rarely buy myself, it makes me excited to discover new charms that I never knew existed!
Was the 2,000 yen Happy Bag a good deal?
When it comes to Happy Bag, it is important to know how much you can get for a low price. I would like to verify this, so please use it as a reference for your next purchase.

Conclusion
This time we looked at the contents of the 2,000 yen Happy Bag. I chose My Melody as the character this time, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the contents of the goods. I was disappointed that none of my favorite Cinnamoroll goods were included. I still have the 3,000 yen and 5,000 yen Happy Bags left, so I’m looking forward to seeing what’s inside those bags.
